It is a drawing of king Rajasinghe going for worshiping Lord Buddha. The temple was built in 88 B.C. during the reign of King Walagamba. Historical records show that the frescoes were done during the reign of King Keerthi Sri Rajasinghe. The frescoes were done by artists of the Dewaragampola Silwaththena Generation. The art is on Sapu wood.
